Welcome to Class 2, with children in Years 2 and 3. Our teacher is Miss Parker
Class 2 were lucky enough to have an expert coach come into school and teach them how to fence. They were excellent at aiming for their targets and practising their different stances.
We have been practising our grammar and punctuation work by using commas in lists. When asked for their advice some of the children said, “Don’t forgot the ‘and’ at the end of the list instead of a comma!”
Class 2 were learning about the Great Wall of China and built their own one in the playground using different types of construction. They demonstrated great teamwork and communication skills.
In these pictures the children are enjoying maths games. This was the final day of the adding and subtracting unit for maths and the games allowed children to practise all the skills and knowledge that they had gained.
In these photos, the children were creating pictures to decorate Tresparrett Methodist church ready for our harvest festival. The children collected various leaves, sticks and mosses to create their harvest and autumn themed pictures.
On 12th October we had a visit from Daya. She came in to help us learn about Islam. We learnt about how they pray, what they wear and why and the sorts of foods that they eat.
Sensei Jack came to visit our school. He gave the whole school an assembly where he talked about what he does. He then had a short PE lesson with class 2. He showed the children some moves and techniques from the martial arts that he teaches. The children thoroughly enjoyed his visit.
